Inspired by a deep dedication to healthcare, she built a robust academic foundation by completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a prestigious university in India. Driven to expand her knowledge in this field, she will be transitioning to the UK to pursue an advanced one-and-a-half-year MSc in Physiotherapy at Cardiff University. The study programme will begin in September 2026 and end in March 2028.

Monisha’s decision to pursue higher education took shape during her final year of college, just as she was preparing for her university exams. Driven by a desire to gain advanced knowledge, gain international exposure, and unlock better career opportunities, she sat down with her family to discuss her next steps. While she carefully evaluated other top global destinations like Australia and Canada, she ultimately realised that the UK aligned perfectly with her specific academic and professional goals.

Driven by a desire to find the perfect fit, she built a thorough research strategy that combined desktop research with firsthand insights from her peers. She began by diving into university websites, attending informational webinars, and watching YouTube videos to understand her university options. She also reached out to friends already studying in the UK to get real-world perspectives on student life. To streamline her options, she connected with an education consultant, where a dedicated counsellor helped her choose the most suitable university and select the ideal programme for her career goals.

Driven by a passion to work directly with athletes, her goal is to deliver specialised treatments while expanding her practical expertise on the field. She views working alongside athletes not only as a career path, but as a continuous learning process to refine her hands-on skills and build domain expertise in sports rehabilitation.
