Making quality education accessible for every deserving underserved Indian student
To create the change we want to see in the world, we have partnered with MelJol, Samarthanam and Muktangan. With these three NGOs, we work towards holistic growth for the community by developing a sustainable education ecosystem. Through our projects, we are commited to creating a positive impact on thousands of lives!
We have identified some of the primary challenges that underprivileged students face and are working towards bridging these gaps. We intend to support students, specially-abled children and community teachers by providing digital learning equipment and facilitating online sessions that focus on the smart delivery of education.
The NGO MelJol works with over ~5,340 adolescents in 40 ashram schools across Palghar in Maharashtra. They provide disadvantaged children from Government schools and village institutions and pre-schools with the opportunity to be a part of the development process. Through our collaboration with MelJol, we fund the primary education of students in three ashram schools, allowing us to impact around 400 students every year.
Samarthanam helps specially-abled youth develop various skills to enhance their quality of life. So far, we have supported ~100 specially-abled students as they completed their college programmes. Additionally, we provide learning aids that facilitate digital learning, allowing us to build an inclusive society where every student has equal opportunities. Our initiative also supports students graduating from school with hostel facilities and other soft skills required for a better life.
Muktangan, associated with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, provides primary education to children. We have partnered with them to train their teachers. Our focus is to uplift women and provide them with the skills required to serve the community. We believe in education for the community, by the community. Our aim is to train at least 500 community educators and enable them to teach their students efficiently and lead them to a better future.
PRIDE India works in 8 disctricts across Maharashtra and has touched the lives of nearly 20 lakh individuals. Since its inception in 1982, they have worked on the holistic development of the communities they serve by adopting an integrated approach with an emphasis on early childhood care and development, education, health and sanitation, livelihood, disaster relief, and women empowerment.
