Making quality education accessible for every deserving underserved Indian student
To create the change we want to see in the world, we have partnered with MelJol, Samarthanam and Muktangan. With these three NGOs, we work towards holistic growth for the community by developing a sustainable education ecosystem. Through our projects, we are commited to creating a positive impact on thousands of lives!
We have identified some of the primary challenges that underprivileged students face and are working towards bridging these gaps. We intend to support students, specially-abled children and community teachers by providing digital learning equipment and facilitating online sessions that focus on the smart delivery of education.
Ashoka University offers a transformative education that
is liberal, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary. It fosters an inclusive
environment where students are encouraged to think critically, explore ideas,
engage in research, and communicate meaningfully to drive impact and change.
The aim is to nurture creativity, cross-disciplinary learning, and personal growth.
The university boasts India's largest need-based scholarship program.
Since its inception, over ₹500 crore in financial aid has been granted to more
than 4,500 students, with 1,700 receiving full fee waivers. Approximately 50% of
students benefit from need-based scholarships every year, and women make up over
half of the student body. The vibrant campus is home to 2,800 students, including
2,600 undergraduates and over 200 Master's and PhD students.
Udbhav School, managed by the IIMAAA (Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad
Alumni Association) Charitable Trust, was established in 2007 under the Alpha/ICFAI
Foundation. Following the passing of ICFAI Founder Mr. N J Yasaswi, Dr. G K Jayaram,
a distinguished IIMA alumnus, ensured the school’s continued growth and
sustainability. In 2012–2013, the institution transitioned to the Kasturi Trust
and was renamed Ekalavya School. By April 2013, IIMA alumni in Hyderabad took over
its management, reaffirming their commitment to delivering high-quality education
to marginalized and underserved children.
Located in Rasoolpura and Fatehnagar, Udbhav Schools are dedicated to providing
holistic education that empowers children to lead meaningful and fulfilling
lives while contributing as responsible citizens of India. This initiative by
the IIMA Alumni Association Hyderabad Chapter Charitable Trust emphasizes creating
an inclusive environment that fosters academic excellence, personal growth,
and holistic development through innovative teaching methods and digital tools.
The NGO MelJol works with over ~5,340 adolescents in 40 ashram schools across Palghar in Maharashtra. They provide disadvantaged children from Government schools and village institutions and pre-schools with the opportunity to be a part of the development process. Through our collaboration with MelJol, we fund the primary education of students in three ashram schools, allowing us to impact around 600 children, 150 womens, 100 Youth.
Samarthanam helps specially-abled youth develop various skills to enhance their quality of life. So far, we have supported ~100 specially-abled students as they completed their college programmes. Additionally, we provide learning aids that facilitate digital learning, allowing us to build an inclusive society where every student has equal opportunities. Our initiative also supports students graduating from school with hostel facilities and other soft skills required for a better life.
Muktangan, associated with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, provides primary education to children. We have partnered with them to train their teachers. Our focus is to uplift women and provide them with the skills required to serve the community. We believe in education for the community, by the community. Our focus is to develop approx. 430 students and approx. 244 community teachers and teacher educators holistically , with approx. 35 students passing and entering higher secondary education. Total children beneficiaries 1390 students
Purkal, a semi-rural region on the outskirts of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Being largely mountainous, the topography and remoteness of the region limits education and employment opportunities. We provide quality education and holistic care through a Class I to XII CBSE-affiliated school with 533 students, predominantly girls, with potential, from deeply needy and underprivileged families. Students come from 170 villages/locations from seven districts within our vicinity and upper reaches of our state. Avanse Financial Services limited has partnered with PYDS to prepare students for adequate employability and enable them to definitively break the cycle of poverty. We have sponsored the education and holistic care of 38 needy and deserving students . Through this project students have received support for academics, nutrition, transport, uniforms, healthcare, pastoral care and all allied requirements for teaching and learning in the School.
PRIDE India works in 8 disctricts across Maharashtra and has touched the lives of nearly 20 lakh individuals. Since its inception in 1982, they have worked on the holistic development of the communities they serve by adopting an integrated approach with an emphasis on early childhood care and development, education, health and sanitation, livelihood, disaster relief, and women empowerment.
