Our diverse campus is located in the center of downtown Portland, one of the most vibrant cities on the West Coast. Our connection to the local tech companies that comprise the Silicon Forest sets us apart from other electrical and computer engineering programs. There are many opportunities to earn credit and gain valuable work experience while participating in internships, and for employment in the Portland area after graduation. Our faculty are innovative leaders in the industry and provide world-class research opportunities to graduate students. Some of our current research includes environmental monitoring and sensing, wind and ocean renewable power generation applications, machine learning, biomedical signal processing, power systems, wireless communications, integrated circuit design, intelligent robotics, emerging computing paradigms, and architectures, and many other areas of electrical and computer engineering. Our University is one of the nation’s “most innovative” schools for several years running now, which means that we tirelessly support and nurture our students from their first term to their graduation.
