Master in Statistics

Transform numbers and data into real-world insights. The master’s programme in applied statistics & analytics provides you with advanced knowledge and real-world applications in data science. You’ll also learn valuable teamwork and presentation skills that are essential in the workplace. We offer several sequences of coursework, including data management and programming, data mining, predictive modeling, big data analytics and applied statistics. Most of the courses require a semester-long research project. You are encouraged to exhibit your projects at CMU's Student Research and Creative Endeavors Exhibition. Outstanding projects are recommended for international project competitions organized by the SAS Institute. In previous years, several student projects have won the competitions.
