The Indian government has taken a great initiative to provide courses in regional languages. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) took the first step by introducing technical subjects like IT and Engineering in five regional languages like Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. Soon, the non-technical courses like Management, Philosophy, and Hotel Management will be available in regional languages too.

National Education Policy (NEP) suggests that no student should be discriminated against due to language preference. Hence, it is offering technical courses in regional languages. However, the technical terms of Engineering and IT courses will still be English as these are scientific terms and should be used uniformly by all the students.
