Her academic background
Intrigued by human behaviour, Karman Kaur decided to dive deeper into the fascinating field of human psychology. She completed her bachelor’s in Psychology and further pursued a master’s in Arts in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. Also, she has been associated with a popular e-commerce company for three years.
The history of NYU dates back to 1831, when it was first founded. It has degree-granting campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi & Shanghai and 12 global academic centres. What motivated her to pursue higher education?
Karman Kaur has a strong academic background in Psychology, and during the pandemic, she noticed that people understood the significance of Psychology. The job market in this arena will boom. She identified the huge demand for this domain. Hence, she decided to invest her time in advancing her knowledge by studying further to contribute to this fascinating field.
Her career plans
Karman Kaur shared the three areas where her career will flourish: academia, corporates and healthcare facilities. She intends to become a successful Research Data Scientist in a hospital or any other industry. In the US, students are allowed to work part-time for 20 hours per week. So, she has planned to work while learning and complete her internship post-completion of her studies. Based on her overall experience, she will take a call on whether to continue working in the US or come back to India.
