Passport (Original & photocopy)

You will need to provide your original passport as well as a photocopy along with your visa application.

Proof of funds

In order to get a student visa in Singapore, it is necessary for you to show proof of funds. The finances that you show should ideally cover up to 1 year of your tuition fee as well as your living expenses while in Singapore. These funds include 8400S$ excluding your tuition fees. You can also use your fixed deposits to show proof funds, but in this case, you will also need to get a letter from your bank stating that the funds in the fixed deposit would be available to you. Make sure that the letter you receive from the bank is not older than 30 days from the date of your visa application.




Form 16

At the time of applying for your student visa, you also have to submit your original Form16. Make a couple of photocopies before submitting the original.

Bank statements

Your proof funds are not the only financial documents that you will be needed, as you also have to submit original bank statements at the time of applying for your visa.

Application form

Make sure all the details of your application form are filled along with your signature.

Academic marksheets

All your academic marksheets right from the beginning of 10th grade to the latest one have to be submitted along with your application form. Make sure the information on the marksheets is given in English.

Medical reports

Ensure that your medical report is in the required format of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website.

Visa application fees

You need to have your application fee receipt, which costs Rs.1,500 (S$30). Once your student visa is approved, you would need to pay Rs.3000 (S$60) as an issuance fee.

Letter of acceptance from a Singaporean university

You need to have an offer letter from the Singaporean university that has accepted your application while applying for a student visa.
