Let’s understand his fascinating academic journey and other interesting things that led him to his perfect study-abroad destination.

Meet’s an academic journey so far

A student exchange program in Brazil, after his 11th grade, proved to be a life-changing experience for Meet. After completing this 1-year program successfully, he came back to India and pursued his 12th grade from Symbiosis College, Pune. Immediately after this, he did his BBA in Computer Applications. The meet has always been interested in exploring the perfect amalgamation between management and technology and that’s how he planned his graduation degree, which he completed in November 2020.

Connecting the dots: His preferred study abroad destination, institution, and course

You will be surprised to know that he decided to go ahead with Ireland despite initially shortlisting France as his study-abroad destination. Let’s understand some interesting reasons behind his decision and more information about his chosen path.

·         Why Ireland?

His in-depth research encouraged him to select Ireland because English-speaking countries would benefit him in his academic quest as he wishes to work while studying. Although he has taken an education loan, he firmly believes that working while learning inculcates prudent habits. Meet opted for Ireland as the return on investment that this country provides is extremely lucrative. Dublin is known as the ‘Tech hub’ of Europe as several European tech giants are headquartered in Ireland. Being closer to where you want to be is essential for Meet. According to him, it is crucial that you move to a destination where your preferred industry is thriving and hence, he selected Ireland.

·         Why did Meet opt for Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin)?

Meet conducted thorough research on this educational institution. It is Ireland’s first Technological University, established on 01 January 2019. The university was formed by the amalgamation of three existing institutes of technology in the Dublin – Dublin Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, and Institute of Technology Tallaght, taking over all functions and operations of these institutions. A leader in STEM disciplines, TU Dublin also supports the largest cohorts of students of business, media, culinary arts, and the creative and performing arts.

Meet was impressed by the way this university had been growing over the years. According to him, TU Dublin offers the best of both worlds, i.e. technology and management. That’s exactly what Meet had been looking for. He had a pleasant experience during the interview, which further convinced him to go ahead with TU Dublin. He suggested that a student should pay attention to how the university treats him/her before getting an admission which will bring profound insights into the efficiency of the university.
