Master of Science Medicinal Chemistry
The Medicinal Chemistry program trains students in the design and synthesis of novel biologically active compounds and in the study of their mechanisms of action using biochemical, biophysical and pharmacological approaches. The core curriculum is an interdisciplinary combination of synthetic organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences courses. The program offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge of medicinal chemistry that can be applied to a practice-oriented career in the pharmaceutical industry.
